Turnaround times

Ready to Ship Products

The turnaround time before shipment for ready to ship products is currently up to 7 business days due to covid related delays.  While the Modern Monty team are working hard to get your order shipped as quickly as possible. The time your parcel will take to arrive to you after shipment, will vary depending on your location. 

Pre-Order Products

Pre-order products will include an estimate of shipping times in the product description, however please note the risk of delay with pre-order.

Please note: If pre-order products are ordered with ready to ship products, your entire order will be shipped once the pre-order product arrives. If you want the ready to ship items shipped separately please ensure you make two separate orders. 

Express

Express shipping via Australia Post. This is a quicker postage service within Australia for when you need it fast.
Express shipping via Australia Post guarantees next day delivery across their Express Post Network, which includes major metro areas.

Your express parcel may be delivered two days or more after it is shipped if you live outside of the Express Post Network. You can read more here.

Returns Policy

Change of mind return or order cancellation for store credit

The Modern Monty return policy is in line with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)

Change of mind return or order cancellation for store credit:

If you have changed your mind about the purchase, including if your parcel has or will arrive later than you had hoped, you can return the parcel for store credit only. Returns for change of mind do not require a refund by law, as stated by ACCC Returns Policy information.

To request store credit due to change of mind:
1) Contact us at modernmonty@gmail.com with your order number and state you are requesting store credit in exchange for returning your order or cancelling your order.
2) If you have already received your package, send it back to:

3) Make sure the products are unopened and the packaging is not damaged. The product/s should be packaged up in a similar manner to which they were sent to ensure no damage occurs to them during transit. You will not be reimbursed for the cost of sending the parcel back for change of mind reasons.

Once your item has been received it will be processed and a store credit will be issued to the value of your return minus the original shipping cost.
 
You can then use this credit to re purchase a new product within one year of receipt.

Please note: We do not offer exchanges for change of mind, only store credits.

Lost parcel:

If you have not received your parcel, despite your tracking indicating it has been delivered, please notify Modern Monty immediately via modernmonty@gmal.com. The courier company will be notified and a search will take place. Either your parcel will be found and delivered or it will be deemed lost, and Modern Monty will send a replacement. If you indicate you no longer want your order, you can request to cancel the order in return for store credit. You will not be entitled to a refund, as this is still considered "change of mind" by ACCC."The consumer guarantees do not apply if you simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it." See instructions above regarding cancelling your order in return for store credit.

How to use the store credit:

The store credit will be emailed to you in the form of a code. This code must then be applied at the checkout and the value of the card will be applied to your order. Please ensure this is applied before proceeding to confirm the order.

Faulty product:

If you believe the product you have received in faulty, which includes damage or missing parts, you will be entitled to “repair”, replacement or refund.

Repair may include sending missing pieces. If the problem with a product is minor, such as a missing piece, you must accept a free repair as dictated by the ACCC

In most cases, where an issue is deemed as minor, repair or replacement will be offered.

If an issue is major, refund may be an option.

If you believe your product is faulty and you are seeking repair, replacement or refund:
1) Contact us at modernmonty@gmail.com with your order number and explain you believe the product is faulty and why, with picture evidence.
2) A Modern Monty representative will get back to you with a solution.
3) If the decision is made to repair the item, usually this will mean Modern Monty will send out to you replacement pieces to swap with faulty pieces, rather than replacing the entire product.
3) If the decision is made to offer a replacement or refund, send the product back to:

Faulty product purchased from Stockist

If you have purchased an item from a stockist and have found that it has a fault you should contact us at modernmonty@gmail.com with proof of purchase and photo evidence of the fault. A replacement will then be issued directly from Modern Monty.

Change of mind requests for returns or refunds should be taken up with the individual stockist. 

Returns Conditions

*Sale Items - Discounted products & Promotional items.

There are no returns on sale items unless they are found to be faulty. All sales for clearance,  promotional and discounted stock are final and no exchanges can be processed. Please choose carefully

*Items must be returned to us within 30 days of invoice (purchase date)

Items sent to us outside of this date will be returned to sender at the senders cost.

It is recommended that you inspect all of the items in your order upon receipt, to ensure any returns or credits that need to be processed can be done in the allocated time frame. 

* If returning for change of mind reasons, products must be in original condition.
The products should remain in unused condition with all original packaging intact. Please note that we will not accept goods if they are damaged, there is animal fur, dust or dirt on the products, as this is a health risk. Goods must also be returned odour free - ( Free of  Cigarettes , dampness etc)

* Cost of shipping the returned item for change of mind is the responsibility of the buyer.
